I have some resources for you.
After spending two weeks driving the entirety of the coast of Washington, this is where my knowledge is best. There are lots of beaches to get married on in Washington. Depending on if you want to get married on a cliffside, on a beach with rock cathedrals, in a cove, or just with a view of the ocean waves, you'll have many options. My favorite of these options is Ruby Beach, in Olympic National Park near Forks. The ocean is a perfect venue for a wedding in any season.

Washington is known for its forests, so if you love moss and want an ethereal vibe for your wedding, the forests would be your pick. The HOH Rainforest with its Hall of Mosses is particularly awe inspiring, so even if it isn't the forest itself you are getting married in, it would be a place to run off to to explore. There is no shortage of forests in Washington with lots of National and State Parks. Let me show you some cool secret spots here.

Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Snoqualmie, within a three hour drive of Seattle, you can look in any direction to pick a mountain to get married at. These famous mountains have both venues and outdoor locations you can pick from. Artist Point, Lake Crescent Lodge, Crystal Mountain Resort are all areas you could consider here, but the list of options is not short!

The beaches of Washington do not get snow, even though most of the rest of the state does have a winter!
For more privacy at your session or for your wedding, shoulder season (October-May) has the best months to consider. Summer makes the beaches warm, though the near constant mist in the mornings and evenings still make it chilly. November and December are cool, but a long jacket will keep you perfectly well.
It can be VERY crowded in the middle of the summer, and I do not like shooting near the main tourist areas during those months for that reason. I do have alternative locations for those interested though!
It can rain on any day in any season on the coast.
An Idaho grown lover of the mountains and all things outdoors, I am someone who has had a camera clipped on my belt since 2007. I recently moved from the Jackson Hole area to Utah, but serve ALL lovers anywhere from Alaska, to California, to Iceland. Exploring the backcountry was what first started my photography journey, but inspired by cinema, film, and human connection, my love for telling the stories of other nomadic humans is what has kept me inspired.

when is the best time to get married in washington?
In the mountains, you can get very heavy snowfall very fast. Near Snoqualmie and the other iconic mountains, many roads will be closed into the National Parks, but there are absolutely areas to photograph at still.
If you are looking for wildflowers, then June and July in the mountains are the time for you! This is also before fire season.
My favorite months for any type of session are October, November, May, and June.
