Snowy Fall Elopement at Mount Baker

Oct 27, 2025

Jenna and Jovan did not expect their fall elopement at Mount Baker to be snowy.

In the early morning light, driving up the winding roads to what we thought would be an epic sunrise at Artist’s Point, a thin layer of snow started falling from the sky. As we gained elevation, we saw what had initially been a light dusting on the fall leaves turn into half a foot of thick, heavy snowpack. With a few miles left to drive to our hiking spot, neither car was able to gain any further traction and we knew we had to change our game plan.

The North Cascades are an absolutely stunning area of the US. With Mount Baker, rolling ranges of mountain peaks, fall larches, and high altitude alpine lakes, it is one of my favorite places on earth to visit. Jenna and Jovan had only heard the great things of the area, and although they had never visited, it filled the dream for their mountain elopement.

Even with the early season snowstorm, our decision to pivot to the lower mountain views of the North Cascades could not have made for a more beautiful or intimate morning. We found ourselves in a foggy PNW rain, falls leave mixed with mossy trees, and the snowy mountains all in the span of four hours. Snow clung to their hair as they read vows, and to warm themselves after the wet PNW soaked them, we went back to their cabin for pizza and to hot tub. It was utterly amazing, and so perfect for these two and their excitements for this day of theirs. This is the wedding teaser for this epic elopement in the mountains.

I love creating moody, ethereal films for couples all over the PNW, so if this fall elopement at Mount Baker fits your vibe and you would like to inquire for your own elopement, contact me here! I can’t wait to hear what you are dreaming up.
